Cyber Tantra
For the first time in southern cinema, a movie on Cyber Crime will be directed by debutant Balaji
In the lines of success of suspense movies in southern movies, debutant Kannada director Balaji is all set to direct a movie on Cyber Crime which has been titled as Tantra.
Kalyug Tantra
The idea of directing a movie on cyber crime was all started when director Balaji watched hindi movie Kalyug and was inspired. “Though the movie didn’t do well in the box office. Yet the movie brought out awareness among the people that such incidents of cyber crime do happen without the notice of anyone. When I thought of attempting to direct a film like Kalyug with different approach I landed up with my film Tantra. It’s not about magic or black magic,” says director Balaji.
Cop help
Actress Sushma makes her debut in the movie. “I have carefully selected the star cast keeping in mind that their career should not be compromised. And for the surprise of the audience, former police cop Girish Mattannanavar will also be doing a major role in the film. I have also taken support of cyber police in the city and from intelligence sleuths to prepare the script for Tantra. We have plans to start shooting from September last week,” says Balaji.

Former PSI Girsh Mattannavar has done quite films in the past. “In the film Tantra, Girish Mattannavar will be doing a role of a detective. He suits to the character. Moreover, his previous profession will add more strength to this performance on the screen. He was a great asset in showing us the way of writing script which keeps suspense as well as some action also. All through the way he helped us in meeting important officials to know more about cyber crime,” says director Balaji.
